Well, this sucks. I've had Mono for two weeks, and apparently I will have it for the next few months.
I've already been out of sports for three weeks for my wrist that I broke during an indoor soccer game, and now I will be out for another month due to an enlarged spleen.. just.my.luck.
Apparently, Mono stays in your body for three to four months, which means I should be fully fine in JUNE. I'll be sick the rest of the school year, and after my one month of no sports is up, if I get hit in the abdomine or stomach at any time, I need to be rushed to the emergency room. Apparently, Mono is "nothing to fool around with." But tomorrow I finally get to go back to school, for the first time in over a week. I'm excited, even though I know that I will be sick of it by second period. Let's just hope this time flys, because so far this year SUCKS.
I go back to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow, hopefully for him to tell me that I don't need to get a cast put on. I haven't been wearing my brace, but my wrist feels fine. If I do get a cast, however, I'll probably be more depressed than I am at this point...
